William John Young IV, 71, of Hyde Park, passed away on Sunday October 29, 2023, at Solaris Healthcare Facility in Stuart FL. He passed away from Parkinson and Dementia complications.

Born February 18, 1952, in Rhinebeck, NY, he was the son of the late Mildred (Jennings) Young and William J Young.

He is survived by his sister Carol (Young) Schmitt and brother-in-law Michael Schmitt of Hobe Sound, FL. He is predeceased by his parents and sister Linda (Young) Till.

He had three nephews Kevin (Krystal) Schmitt and their two sons, Brentley and Brody of Hyde Park, NY. Michael Schmitt (Amanda) and their four children Lily, Morrison, Duncan and Owen of Eden, NY. His sister, Linda's son, William Till of Dayton, OH.

Bill graduated from Franklin Delano Roosevelt High School in 1971. Bill liked building computers and working on electronics.

Bill worked at Dutchess Community College in the Instructional Media Department from 1974 till he retired in June 2015.

He had his pilot license and would spend his spare time flying and working on the planes. He belonged to a group that owned the planes at Duchess County Airport.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
