William James Scott Potter,64, of Plattekill, New York died on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at St. Lukes Cornwall Hospital.

Born Wednesday, August 20, 1958, in Newburgh, NY, he was the Son of William Carol Potter and Gloria Ann Kane Potter.

Will worked for Potters Towing and Recovery as a Automotive Technican for many years until his retirement.

On August 1, 2010, in Platekill, NY, he married the former Debra "Debbie" M. Brooks Nelson. Mrs. Potter survives at home.

Will loved being around horses and spending time with his family, listening to country music.

Along with his wife he is survived by his seven children; Christine Potter, Jamie Potter, Jennifer, Brown, William Vanzile, Kristine Gunn, Ashley Nelson, and Andrew Hecht.

He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren, Nichols, Zachary, Devin, Alyssa, Liam, Owen, Aiyana, Austin, Adrianna, Kathlyn, JJ, Bryson, and William.

He is also survived by his siblings Carrie, Bridget, Sandy, Bobby, James, and Susan.

In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet's Funeral Home, Inc., Rte. 9, Hyde Park.
