Poughkeepsie, NY William L. Bolde, Sr., 73, of Poughkeepsie, died on Monday, August 15, 2022, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, New York. Born on February 7, 1949, in Poughkeepsie, he was the son of Lester Harold and Beatrice Dalrymple Bolde. On October 16, 1970, he married Vickie Madaras in Pleasant Valley. Vickie died on November 12, 2015. William was drafted into the Army on July 2, 1968. He was honorably discharged on February 5, 1970. Prior to retirement, he worked for Waste Management, Kingston, NY, as a truck driver. Surviving are two sons, William L. (Barbara) Bolde, Jr., Poughkeepsie, and Brian L. (Ashley) Bolde, Red Hook, NY, his longtime companion, Barbara (Bobbie) Kramer, Glens Falls, NY; brother, John M. (Betty) Bolde, Hyde Park; sister-in -law - Bethalena Ann Madaras, NY, NY; grandchildren, Catlyn Bolde, Red Hook; William L Bolde, III, Kingston; Maleya Bolde, Hyde Park; Jesse Bolde, Red Hook; James Bolde, Red Hook; Grace Bolde, Red Hook; and one great grandson, Evan Bolde, Kingston. Cremation took place at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. Inurnment with Military Honors will be at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
