Una Maria Kochanowksi passed away peacefully on February 4, 2023, in Rhinebeck, New York.

The eldest daughter of the late James and Martha Lambe, Una was born on September 29, 1939, in Kilcurry, County Louth, Ireland. Una was a gifted dancer as a young lady, and she earned the prestigious title of All Ireland Girls Amateur Dancing Champion.

Una immigrated with her family to Poughkeepsie, New York in 1954.

Always an avid lifelong learner, Una graduated from Poughkeepsie High School in 1959 and graduated from the Krissler Business Institute in Poughkeepsie.

Una retired after 25 years of dedicated service with IBM and relocated to Greenville, South Carolina.

Una married her late husband, Leo Kochanowski, on June 3, 1961, and she is survived by her devoted sons, Michael L. Kochanowski (and Juan) from Streamwood, Illinois, and Stephen J. Kochanowski (and Tammy) from Pleasant Valley, New York. Una is also survived by her sister, brothers and numerous nephews and nieces.

Una greatly valued her Irish heritage and traveled frequently to Ireland to visit family and friends there. Una enjoyed reading and exploring the world through her frequent travels.

Una's family will be conducting a memorial service on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 11am at St. Peter's Cemetery, 171 Salt Point Turnpike, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
