Thomas Andrew Lutz, 42, a lifelong area resident, died unexpectedly on August 23, 2022, in Poughkeepsie.

Born May 20, 1980, in Rhinebeck, he was the son of Susan Norton Maywalt and Theodore Lutz. His father survives in Staatsburg and his mother survives in Hyde Park.

Tom attended Hyde Park Schools and was a self-employed construction and remodeling contractor.

His hobbies included working out, going to the gym, customizing his car, and listening to music.

Mr. Lutz enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, survivors include his daughter, Adriana Pizzarelli - Lutz; son, Nico Lutz; two brothers, Chip Brown, and Shane Lutz (Althea); stepsister, Christine Lutz (Mike Lang); stepbrother, Theodore Lutz Jr.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Norton; and aunts and uncles, William (Sandy) Norton, George Norton, James Norton, Irene Lutz, Linda O'Dell, Jerry Lutz, Julie Boyles, and Robert Lutz.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial calling hours will be Monday, September 12th from 6 to 8 PM at Sweet's Funeral Home, Rte. 9, Hyde Park.
