Ronald W. Jones, 73, a lifelong resident of Hyde Park, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2024, at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck.

Born February 12, 1951, in Rhinebeck, he was the son of William F. and Frances B. Momme Jones. He was a graduate of F. D. Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park.

Mr. Jones retired from Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck in 2015. Before Ferncliff, he worked for a time at the Culinary Institute of America and Northern Dutchess Hospital.

Ron loved his cat, "Happy," playing board games, watching TV, solving cross word puzzles, and dancing. Not one to sit still, he was always on the move and loved a good cup of coffee.

On September 9, 2006, in the Red Hook United Methodist Church, he married the former Leslie B. Morrison. His wife survives at home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.

Ron was predeceased by his parents; sister, Gertrude Brenner; and brothers, Frederick and David Jones.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside services and burial of his ashes will be at 11 AM, Friday, November 1st at Union Cemetery, 1076 Violet Ave., Hyde Park. Rev. Stephen Ernst will officiate.
