LAGRANGE - Robert F. O'Connor, 84, a long time area resident, died Sunday, June 8, 2008 at the Lutheran Care Center in Poughkeepsie. Born July 20, 1923 in the Bronx, he was the son of the late Francis and Catherine (Rogers) O'Connor. Mr. O'Connor served in the US Army during World War II. He was a Parole Officer for the New York State Corrections Department having worked at Green Haven, Downstate and New York City, before retiring. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Susan and David Scalzo of LaGrangeville and two grandchildren, Cody and Cassidy Scalzo of LaGrangeville. There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 11, at the Community Mausoleum Chapel of Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. Pastor Donald Hoger will officiate.
