Peter Sebastian Walker peacefully transitioned out of this life on October 29, 2026, and while it is with great sadness we announce this, it is also with great joy that we had the opportunity to know him. Throughout his 63 years he has touched countless lives with his wisdom, humor, and perseverance.
The son of the late Helen Gessler and Peter F. Walker, he was born in Boston, MA on November 20, 1962, grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and lived in New York and Florida throughout his later life.
Pete’s great passion in life was music. A talented bass guitarist, he loved playing with his band mates, friends, or just jamming on his own. On top of being a musician, Pete worked as an audio technician in some of the biggest venues and with some of the greatest artists in the world. Working on his first show in Cleveland, OH when he was just 11 years old, he built a career that led him to venues like Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall. Above all, Pete was a storyteller, chronicling his adventures in his two books, The Book of Maleki and Roadies N Rockstars, as well as on his social media channels, Roadies N Rockstars. Any time that was spent with Pete was spent hearing the amazing stories of his life.
He was also a man of many interests and hobbies including scuba diving, throwing red ball with his dogs, riding his motorcycle, black and white movies, calling people Handsome, studying labor law, hosting friends and family for the annual Woodstock fireworks, handing out smiley (and sometimes frowny) face stickers, old-time radio, beach sunsets, and so much more.
Pete’s legacy will live on through the people he loved who he guided and inspired in so many ways, and through his videos and books that his family, friends, and fans will always cherish. To say he’s made a profound impact on the world is an understatement.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his aunts, Patricia and Ginny Gessler; his beloved dog Woody Walker; and dear friends that we know he was looking forward to being with again.
He is survived by his wife, Carolina Walker, and their dogs, Thor and Loki Walker; his daughter and son-in-law, Ami and Chris Daley; his step-daughters and son-in-law, Julie Ferrer, Sherry Ferrer-Lam and Edward Lam; his grandchildren, Logann Clare, Oliver Clare, and Selene Lam; his siblings John Walker, Albert Walker, Gina Fromm and their spouses and children; his aunt Dorothy Gessler and her partner; and his many friends including Bryan Olson, Brad Kagel, and Todd Tiedemann.
Private services will be held with his family, and a larger memorial service will be planned for 2027 that will be a true celebration of a life well lived. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Pete’s gofundme to support his wife during this difficult time.
