Patricia Rose LaPenna, 85, of Poughkeepsie, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.  Born on November 8, 1935, in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Frances Connors Grittlow.    On December 7, 1958, she married Joseph LaPenna Jr., in Poughkeepsie.  Mr. LaPenna passed away on March 2, 2005.  Surviving are three sons, Joseph M. and James LaPenna, both of Poughkeepsie; Jason  LaPenna, Hyde Park; brother and sister-in-law,  Andrew and Lucille Grittlow of New Hyde Park; two sisters-in-law, Charlotte Grube and Madeline Spencer both of Rhinebeck, and a nephew, John Spencer, Rhinebeck.  In addition to her parents, and husband, Joseph, she was predeceased by her son, Jeffery LaPenna in 1963.  Relatives and friends may call on Friday, June 18, from 10am to 11am at Sweet's Funeral Home, Rte. 9, Hyde Park.
