Patricia P. Hummel, 75, a Town of Poughkeepsie resident for forty years, died unexpectedly at home on February 22, 2022. Born September 23, 1946, in Rhinebeck, she was the daughter of Vincent Post and Daisy C. (Hoag) Post. Patty started her career with the former Western Publishing in Poughkeepsie and went on to work for the Dutchess County Office of Central and Information Services (OCIS) until her retirement in 2001. On June 18, 1977, in Tivoli, she married Leonard G. Hummel. Her husband predeceased her in 2019. Mrs. Hummel loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Everleigh. Survivors include her daughter, Lacey A. Hummel – Kogut, and husband, Kevin, of Hyde Park; granddaughter, Everleigh Kogut; brother, Vincent 'Juney' Post, and wife, Wanda, of Linden, VA; brother-in-law, Ronald Hummel, and wife, Doris, of Rhinebeck; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be from 3 - 6 PM, Tuesday, March 1st at Sweet's Funeral Home, Rte. 9, Hyde Park. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, March 2nd at the Funeral Home.
