Obituary for Linda D. Clay

Linda D. Clay, 70, a life-long City of Poughkeepsie resident, died on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center with her family by her side.

Born on September 7, 1947 in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of the late Charles Patrick and Maxine (Hutchinson) Rogers. Linda was a 1965 graduate of Poughkeepsie High School.

Linda was the owner/manager of Let’s Travel in Poughkeepsie for many years.

She loved to travel, especially trips to the Borgata in Atlantic City. Linda’s family and friends were very important to her, and she found great joy in spending time with them, particularly her grandchildren.

On September 14, 1968 in Poughkeepsie, Linda married D. Keith Clay. Mr. Clay survives at home.

In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by son, Darren Keith Clay, and his wife, Darlene; daughter, Kristen Clay Casey, and her husband, Brian; grandchildren: Cassidy, Sydney Ann, and Shayne Clay, and Bradden Keith Casey; sister-in -law, Jo-Ann Wohlfahrt; niece, Kathleen Marshall, her husband, David, and their children, Laura, Emily and Jake; niece, Kristine Wohlfahrt, her wife, Karen Marbot, and their daughter, Kate; and nephew, Michael Wohlfahrt, and his wife, Debbie.

Linda was predeceased by her parents and one grandson, Aiden Keith Clay.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no calling hours or funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, Linda’s family respectfully requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148 (
