Obituary for Timothy A. Patsey

Timothy A. Patsey, 58, a lifelong area resident, died on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at his home in Hyde Park.

Born on July 29, 1959 in Poughkeepsie, he was the son of the late Edward G. Patsey, Sr. and Alma T. (Lynch) Patsey. Tim was a graduate of F.D. Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park.

He worked for Blacktop Maintenance Corporation, Thomas Gleason, Inc., and Avello Brothers Paving for many years until he had to stop due to illness.

Tim loved the outdoors. As a young man, he built complete log cabins in the woods with his brothers. He also loved camping in the Adirondacks, bike riding, and watching old movies.

Tim is survived by his brother, Edward Patsey, Jr., and his wife, Nancy, of Hyde Park; sister, Debra VonKnoblauch, of Salt Point; brother, Brian Patsey, and his wife, Elizabeth, of Wallkill; sister, Pamela Patsey, of Poughkeepsie; brother, Christopher Patsey, and his wife, Rebeca, of Tivoli; brother, Joseph Patsey, and his wife, Kim, of Hyde Park; eleven nieces and nephews; three great-nephews; and several cousins.

In keeping with Tim’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

Memorial calling hours will be from 6-9pm on Tuesday, March 6th at Sweet’s Funeral Home, Route 9, Hyde Park.

A prayer service will be at 8pm, during the calling hours.
