Hyde Park, NY Norman George Dupont, Jr., 71, of Hyde Park, NY, died peacefully at home on Monday, March 21, 2022, in the loving care and company of his wife, Karen. Born on December 12, 1950, in Poughkeepsie, NY, he was the son of Norman George Dupont, Sr. and Alice Dennisson Dupont. Norman was retired as a carpenter from Union Local #19, Carpenter's Union. Norman was an avid fisherman and hunter and just loved being out in nature. Being outside was his little slice of heaven. On Saturday, October 7, 2000, he married Karen McCarthy. Norman is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Dupont, Hyde Park, NY; son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Ann Dupont, Rhinecliff, NY; daughter, Jennifer Dupont, Florida; and six grandchildren. At Norman's request, cremation took place at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet's Funeral Home, Inc., Rte. 9, Hyde Park.
