Michael Toomey, 63, passed away on March 10, 2025 after a valiant fight following heart surgery. The son of Joseph and Patricia Toomey, he is survived by his five sisters: Leslie & Randy Scarborough, Sally & Paul Weglinski, Kathleen & Michael Kristofik, Mary Toomey and Patricia & Gregory Starzyk. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graduate of Arlington High School class of 1980, Mike was a hard-working individual. Much of his career was spent running his own business, Mike's Landscaping, where he took great pride in his work and relationships with customers. In 2024, he enthusiastically retired from the custodial staff of a local school district after 16 years of service.

Throughout his life, Mike was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and dairy farming. But where he found true peace and joy was in gardening. He grew beautiful flower gardens (was especially fond of hydrangeas), built water gardens and was best known for his bountiful vegetable gardens. He would proudly and generously share his abundant harvest, including his homemade dill pickles, with family and friends.
