Michael Joseph Miller, age 71, passed away on November 19, 2024, in Hyde Park, NY. Bornon November 5, 1953, in Poughkeepsie, NY, he was the son of Clarence Miller and the late Florence Miller.

Mike is survived by his daughter Sara Jean Miller of Honesdale, PA, and his stepdaughter,Wendy Rose Biccum of Milford, PA. His grandchildren, Christopher and Jordan Murphy,brought him great joy and pride.

Throughout his life, Mike formed deep, lasting friendships, especially with his lifelong friend Collette Misa of Pleasant Valley, NY. He also shared a close, loving bond with his siblings: JoAnn Bamond and her husband Paul of Monroe, NY; Robert Miller and his wife Darlene of Harrisburg, PA; Anthony Miller and his life partner Doug Van Oppens of Hyde Park, NY; Lisa Yager and her husband Gerald of Marlboro, NY; Leigh Ann Wilkinson and her husband Donald of Wallkill, NY; Caroline Miller and her husband Paul of Poughkeepsie, NY; Jason Miller of New Waterford, OH; and Harold Renzo of Kingston, NY; Brian Johnson; Ruth Blaisof Kissimmee, FL; Rose Kinnear of Poughkeepsie, NY. Additionally, he is survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other family members, each of whom played a special part in his life.

Mike was a hardworking individual, known for his meticulous nature and pride in his work.He was employed by several companies during his career, including Western Publishing,Heritage Flooring, St. Peter's Cemetery, and D&W Landscaping. In every role, his commitment to excellence and attention to detail shone through.

A lover of nature, Mike found great peace being near the Hudson River, where he often reflected on the beauty of the natural world. Gardening was also a passion he cherished,and he found solace tending to the earth and nurturing its growth.

As we say goodbye to Michael Joseph Miller, we celebrate a life full of love, family,friendship, and an appreciation for the simple joys of life. While he will be deeply missed,our memories of him will continue to comfort those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Relatives and friends may call from 3pm to 4pm on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Sweet's Funeral Home, Inc.,  Route 9, Hyde Park, NY 12538.  A memorial service to celebrate Mike's life will begin at 4:00 PM at the funeral home.  Friends and family are invited to attend and share in remembering his life.
