Maureen Kain Reiter-Tracy, 80, recently of Hyde Park, more formerly of Bedford county, died peacefully on Thursday, February 5, 2026.

Born on January 17, 1946, in Sharon, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late John J. Tracy and Elizabeth M. Kain Tracy.

Raised in Millbrook, she graduated from Millbrook High School in 1964.

Maureen was an avid gardener who took great pride in maintaining the flowers at her home. She loved to read, enjoyed creating needlepoint samplers, and cherished traveling with her husband. She was known for her quiet creativity, appreciation of beauty, and devotion to the simple pleasures of life.

Maureen was employed by the New York State Court System, where she worked for many years as an Administrative Assistant.

In November of 2002, Maureen married Elmer Stonsby, Mr. Stonsby passed away in February of 2007. Lucky enough to find love twice on May 19, 2012, she married Brue Reiter. Mr. Reiter predeceased her on July 3rd, 2025

Maureen is survived by her cousins, Paul Tracy and wife Ann, William Tracy and wife Carol, Brian Tracy, Ed Tracy and wife Janet, and Eileen Stanton.

In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place, and inurnment of her cremains will take place at Gerald B. H. Solomon Cemetery in Saratoga alongside her husband Bruce.
