Mary E. Perdomo, 88, of Poughkeepsie, died on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center at Poughkeepsie.

Born, May 15, 1936 in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of the late James Rickes and Charlotte Brinks Rickes.

Growing up on the family farm in Lagrange, encouraged Mary to go to college to get her horticultural degree.

After graduating she went on to marry Roland Perdomo on November 22, 1956. Roland predeceased her in 1990.

Mary worked for Grant's Department store and later Caldor Department store.

In her free time, she was very active with 4-H Club and was a life member of Roosevelt Station 2.

Mary is survived by her daughter Alice Adams and husband Floyd, a grandson Shawn Adams Sr. and a great grandson Shawn Adams Jr.

Along with her parents she was also predeceased by her son William Perdomo.

Calling hours will be from 4PM to 7PM, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Sweet's Funeral Home, 4365 Albany Post Rd. Hyde Park, NY.

A Memorial Service will take place at 6 PM during the calling hours.
