Marion Ann McLeod, 73, of Highland, New York died on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Eleanor Nursing Care Center.

Born, June 6, 1951 in Wilton, CT, she was the daughter of the late William Love McLeod and Helen Fraiser Grey McLeod.

In her younger years Marion Ann enjoyed riding horses, spending time in upstate New York and visiting many historical areas.

As her children grew up she relished in bringing them to her favorite places, including the Mohawk trail, and the reservoir.

She also enjoyed attending the Scottish games in Washington D.C., watching movies, reading books, and could often be found admiring artwork at various locations. She was a devoted Mother to her two children and was always at every swim meet, soccer match, dance recital, and track meet. She supported in leading her daughters Girl Scout troop and Odyssey of the mind team while never missing a field trip or school event all of while working full time as a single Mother.

In her free time she enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, visiting the beach, and spending time with the family pets. She was known for making and decorating beautiful cakes particularly her famous hummingbird cake. Her day was never complete without a cup of tea.

She is survived by her two children ,Victoria McLeod Jovanov and husband David, and Alexander McLeod Hall. Three grandchildren; Kristen Hall, Isaiah and Imogen Jovanov.

Along with her parents she was predeceased by her brother Hugh Mcleod.

In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet's Funeral Home, Inc., Rte. 9, Hyde Park.
