Maria G. Rosasco 64, passed away peacefully Tuesday February 22, 2022 at her home after a long illness. She was surrounded by her loving family and husband, Al, who loved her dearly. She was a devout christian who knew the Lord with her unwavering faith. Maria was born in Sicily, Italy and immigrated with her parents as a small child in 1959. Maria served the community as owner and operator of Golden Gift Jewelers for 26 years before her retirement in 2020. She loved her customers and treated everyone as family. She also owned and operated other businesses on the old main mall in the city of Poughkeepsie prior. To know Maria was to love her; her smile, laughter, kindness and compassion were infectious. She is survived by her husband Al, her loving sister Giovanna and husband Ernie Stumbo from Poughkeepsie, brothers Philip Cordaro from California, and Frank Cordaro from Poughkeepsie, Nephews Francesco Cordaro and Ernesto Stumbo, nieces Andrea Cordaro and Isabella Stumbo, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
