Lewis A. Keehner, 77, of Lagrangeville, died on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie.

Born, October 14, 1945, in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late Louis Keehner and Josephine Eirich Keehner.

After graduating high school Lewis went on to proudly serve his country in the Vietnam War.

In December of 1980 he married the former Carol DeNike, Mrs. Keehner survives' at home.

Over the course of his life Lewis worked for many different companies and had a variety of work skill sets, he retired from Temple Farm where he worked as an Estate Caretaker for many years. He was also a lifetime member of the LaGrange Fire Company.

Lewis was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. In his free time he often could be found tinkering on projects around his neighborhood lending a hand to a neighbor in need.

Along with his spouse, he is survived by his three children Crystal Herriman and husband Chris, Chris Keehner, and Randy Keehner; two grandchildren Christopher Herriman Jr. and Lorelai Herriman.

He is also survived by his sister May Christie and her Family.

Along with his parents he was predeceased by his son Kevin Keehner.

In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place.

Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 PM, on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at Sweet's Funeral Home, 4365 Albany Post Rd., Hyde Park, NY 12538.
