Highland, NY  Kathleen Sheehy, 68, of Highland, died on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at Health Alliance Hospital, Kingston. Born on July 16, 1952, in the Bronx, she was the daughter of Anthony and Anne Horan Kearns. She married John G. Sheehy on September 28, 1974 at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church, in the Bronx, celebrating their 46th anniversary this past September. After graduating from high school, Kathleen earned her bachelor's degree.  Kathleen retired as an IT Project Manager at Health Alliance Hospital, Mary's Campus, Kingston.  Currently Kathleen served on the Board of Directors of the Hyde Park Swim and Tennis Club.  Kathleen is survived by her husband, John Sheehy, her son and daughter-in-law, Patrick A. and Karen Sheehy, Hyde Park; daughter, Kristen Sheehy and her partner Ian, of Freeport, ME; her daughter, Anne Marie Sheehy and her partner Donald of Sandwich, MA; brother and sister-in-law, John & Vanessa Kearns, of the Bronx; brother, James Kearns, of the Bronx; five grandchildren, Molly; Aidan; Seamus; Bearach; and Wyatt.  Relatives and friends may call on Monday, May 10, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sweet's Funeral Home, Rte. 9, Hyde Park.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 11, at Regina Coeli Roman Catholic Church, Rte. 9, Hyde Park, NY.    Cremation will take place after the funeral at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.  Kathleen's family respectfully requests memorial donations to a charity of one's choice.  To send an online condolence, or for directions, please visit www.sweetsfuneralhome.com .
