Julia Madaras, 76, of Poughkeepsie, died at home on Monday, Mar. 3, 2003. A homemaker, Mrs. Madaras was a lifelong area resident. Born in Stanfordville on Jan. 28, 1927, she was the daughter of Andrew and Anna Szigiedi Nemes. In 1946, she married Lewis Madaras in Poughkeepsie. Mr. Madaras predeceased her in 1982. Survivors include her daughter, Beth Ann of Manhattan and her daughter, Vickie Bolde of Hyde Park; two grandchildren, William Bolde Jr. and Brian Bolde of Staatsburg; three great-grandchildren, Caitlin Bolde, William Bolde III and Malaya Bolde; sister, Mary Race of Millbrook; and several nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Mrs. Madaras was a cancer survivor.
