Joyce Ann Johannesen, 87, a lifelong resident of Poughkeepsie, passed away peacefully at home on September 16, 2026, with her family by her side.

She was born February 16, 1939, in Poughkeepsie, the daughter of James W. and Ethel Key Harris. A graduate of Poughkeepsie High School, Joyce lived a devoted life as a homemaker. She attended the Reformed Church of Poughkeepsie.

On February 2, 1958, in Poughkeepsie, she married Harry B. Johannesen Jr., who predeceased her in 2020. Joyce cherished her family and the home they built together.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Cerbino, of Poughkeepsie, and her son, Harry Johannesen III, of Westerly, Rhode Island. Grandchildren include Christopher Cerbino and wife, Madison, of Phoenix, Arizona; Corey Cerbino and fiancée, Erica Durkin, of Millbrook; Catherine Cerbino of Poughkeepsie; Matthew Johannesen, of Schenectady; and great-grandson, Bennett Cerbino.

She is also survived by a brother, Roger Harris, and wife, Edwina, and several nephews.

A period of visitation will be held Friday, September 25th from 10 AM to 12 Noon at Sweet's Funeral Home, Rte. 9, Hyde Park.

Funeral services be at 12 Noon at the funeral home with Mother Meredith Kadet Sanderson officiating.

Burial will follow in the family plot at St. James Churchyard, Hyde Park.
