It is with profound sadness that we are sharing the devastating news that our deeply loved, son, brother, nephew, uncle, brother in-law and friend. Joseph (Joe) William Burke affectionately known as "Grady", 48 passed away unexpectedly on Friday September 27, 2024.

He was born July 30, 1976, in the Bronx.

He was a graduate of Roosevelt High School, Hyde Park, New York.

Joe joined the Marine Corps in 1995 and proudly served his country until he was discharged.

Joe was known to be a free spirit with a friendly side and a contagious smile. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Joseph is survived by his father Linwood Burke Jr., His brother, Linwood Burke III (Butch) & sister- in- law, Tonia Sweeney, brother Raymond Clark, sister, Schiniqua Diaz, and his aunts and uncles; four nieces Miranda, Mikayla, Jaonessa, and Amelia; three nephews David, Linwood IV and Tavian, and two great nieces La'Nova and Stormi.

He is also survived by many cousins and friends.

Joseph was predeceased by his mother Renee Clark and stepmother Shirley Burke.

Joseph was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place.

Memorial calling hours will be one Wednesday October 16th from 5 to 7pm at Sweets Funeral Home, 4365 Albany Post Rd. Hyde Park, NY 12538.
