Joan S. Heiser, 91, formerly of Staatsburg, New York died on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Pine Haven Nursing Home in Philmont, New York.

Born January 14, 1933 in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of the late Edward Boon and Elsie May Boon.

Joan enjoyed spending time with people, especially those close to her, she also loved going out with her friends dancing, to restaurants and traveling with her family. She will be remembered mostly for her spunky and sassy personality.

She worked for Phoenix Cables as an assembly worker in their manufacturing department for many years before her retirement at 70 years old.

In her later years she could often be found spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved watching crime dramas. She also enjoyed spending time at the senior center in Red Hook.

On February 26, 1950 she married Harry .L Heiser. Mr. Heiser predeceased her on January 12, 1990.

She is survived by her daughter Tammy Primavera and husband Michael, six grandchildren, Harry Pease, Renee Pease, Douglas Pease / Joscelyn Pease, Michael Primavera Jr. / Jessica Primavera, Matthew Primavera, and Shyla Dauria / Dominic Dauria.

She is also survived by several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband she was predeceased by her daughter Kathy Marano and son in law Joseph Marano.

Calling hours will be from 10 AM to 12 noon on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Sweet's Funeral Home, 4365 Albany Post Rd., Hyde Park, NY 12538.

A Funeral Service will be at 12:00 noon at the funeral home.

Burial of her cremains will follow at Union Cemetery, Hyde Park, NY.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet's Funeral Home, Inc., Rte. 9, Hyde Park.
