Morris. Mr. Morris  predeceased her on October 2, 2011.  Jo Anne and Al had three sons, and as her family got older, she went back to work as a nurse at the former Hyde Park Nursing Home followed by the Hudson River Psychiatric Center, until her retirement in the late 1990's.  A big part of Jo Anne's life was volunteering and giving of her time to causes that were important to her. She was an instrumental part of the group that brought hemodialysis to the Hudson Valley and volunteered many hours at The Lunch Box in Poughkeepsie. She was also a communicant of St. Peter's Parish in Hyde Park.  Survivors include her three sons, Robert A. Morris and wife, Jennifer, of Staatsburg, Stephen C. Morris of Wappingers Falls, and Vincent M. Morris and wife, Shalon, of Hyde Park; eight grandchildren, Riley, Cora, Jessica, Johnny, Alyssa, Joseph, Kyle, and Evan; and several nieces and nephews, especially Gary, Jeffrey, and Kathy Pells, and Patricia Magurno and her children, Daryl, Kristen, and Joseph. Patricia was like a daughter to Jo Anne and her children were like her grandchildren.    She was also survived by several cousins.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, Charles Case; and one sister, Mary Jane Pells.  Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 PM, Wednesday, September 29th at Sweet's Funeral Home, Route 9, Hyde Park.  Due to construction at Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel of St. Peter's Parish, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM, Thursday, September 30th at Holy Trinity Church, 775 Main Street, Poughkeepsie.  Burial will follow in the family plot at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, Jo Anne's family respectfully requests memorial donations to the Hyde Park Food Pantry, PO Box 171, Hyde Park, NY 12538.
