Jane Morgan-Martinez, 76, of Hyde Park and Poughkeepsie, NY, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2024, at the Pines Nursing Home.

Jane, affectionately known as "Mommo", was born on July 7, 1947, to Charles and Florence Knickerbocker Bocchino in Poughkeepsie, NY.

After graduating from Roosevelt High School, Class of 65, she worked at several local supermarkets and drove for DeFile Transportation.

Jane started her family with the birth of her only child, Dennis, whom she loved and cherished above all. A passionate animal lover, Jane was always taking in and caring for strays. She even allowed "Rocky the Raccoon" to enter her home through the cat door for snacks much to the chagrin of her husband, Steve. While at the Eleanor Nursing Home, Jane always saved some of her lunch to feed her favorite squirrel at the window.

Jane was predeceased by her parents, Charlie and Nana, her husband, Stephen Martinez, her son Dennis C Morgan and her sister, Geraldine Fontaine. She is survived by her best friend, Evelyn Charter, daughter-in-law, Kathy Morgan, cousins, nieces, nephews and beloved pets.

A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date.
