Hilda Mae Rothkranz, 87, was reunited with her husband Ronald Rothkranz Sr. on July 24, 2022. Hilda passed away at home with her family. Hilda was born to Theresa and Wayne Van Benschoten on May 21, 1935, in Poughkeepsie NY. Hilda enjoyed dancing in her young years at the Polish club where she and her late husband Ron danced with many friends. Hilda married Ron on June 17, 1956, and celebrated over 60 years of marriage. Hilda and Ron spent many years with family and many friends boating on the Hudson River and Lake George and traveling with their camper to many campgrounds near and far. Their most exciting trip with their travel- trailer was a seven-week adventure across the United States with their children enjoying National Parks, traveling north to Canada, and into Mexico. Hilda enjoyed bowling in a woman's league for many years, and golfing with close friends and other couples. Hilda enjoyed gardening; loving roses, lily of the valley, lilacs and honey suckle. Hilda enjoyed spending beautiful days sitting on her front porch with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Hilda had quick sarcastic wit giving people a double take followed by a good laugh. Very funny lady. Hilda enjoyed donating to charities and was a member of Our Lady of Angels Association. Hilda had a strong devotion to our Blessed Mother. Hilda started her career as a secretary in IBM. She left IBM to start her family.
