Geraldine A. Fontaine of Hyde Park, died on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, NY.

Born on January 17, 1938, in Poughkeepsie, New York. She was the daughter of Charles J. Bocchino and Florence Knickerbocker Bocchino. She married John Raymond Fontaine, Sr. Her beloved husband died on October 15, 1975.

She worked for the Children's Home of Poughkeepsie as housekeeping manager for many years.

Geraldine is survived by her daughter, Bernadette Roche, Hyde Park, and Bernadette's significant other Darrin Hofmann, Salt Point, NY; daughter Michelle and husband Brian Lund of Beulaville, NC; daughter Debra Paganelli, Poughkeepsie; grandchildren, Rick, Jason and Gina Paganelli; Mike, Jessica and Julia Roche; Brian, Nicole, Megan, Felicia and Matthew Lund, and Danielle Lewis and Johnny Fontaine, and numerous great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her beloved husband, John, she was predeceased by her son, John (Jack) Raymond Fontaine, Jr. on March 22, 2022, and significant other, Sal Sucato, and her beloved cat Missy.

Geri was an avid Skip-Bo player. You would often find her playing the card game with family and friends.

There are no calling hours. Services are private and will be held in the Spring. Cremation took place.  Interment will be made in the family plot at Union Cemetery, Hyde Park.
