Generosa Rodriguez passed away peacefully on December 4, 2024 at the age of 87, with her family by her side at Renaissance Rehab & Nursing Care Center in Staatsburg, New York.

Born on November 10, 1937, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Alejandrino and Juana Gonzalez-Rodriguez.

In 1957, she married Nery Casiano. She was predeceased by her husband on December 13, 2008. Generosa was loved dearly by her brothers, sisters, children, and grandchildren.

Generosa was an amazing chef who loved to cook her traditional Puerto Rican dishes, her recipes will live on with her loved ones.

Generosa also adored all kinds of TV films ranging from True Crime investigations to classics like the Twilight Zone to even silly cartoons like South Park. Her favorite character among media was the iconic Betty Boop who Generosa always accessorized when it came to decorating her apartments or outfits, Generosa was referred as the "Original Betty Boop" by people who loved her.

Generosa will be missed by her family members who are still with us which include her two daughters; Diana Casiano Ossipo and husband George Ossipo, and Ivette Casiano Molina and husband Ben Molina. She has adored her 5 grandchildren; Joseph and Ryan Ossipo, Nicholas, Eric and Alyssa Molina. Generosa was 1 of 11 siblings, 6 are still with us while the other 4; Ronnie, Felix, Lydia, and Juanita greeted her at Heaven's Gate.

In keeping with Generosa's wishes prior to her passing, her body has been cremated.

Memorial calling hours will be held from 5-7PM on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Sweet's

Funeral Home, 4365 Albany Post Road, Hyde Park, NY, 12538.
