Poughkeepsie, NY   Gale P. Busolt, 70, of Poughkeepsie, died on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at home in the care and company of her family.  Born on Tuesday, November 28, 1950, in Poughkeepsie, NY, she was the daughter of Harry and Hilda Decker Sterling.  On Sunday, October 8, 1972, she married the love of her life, George F.  Busolt at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Pleasant Valley, NY.   Gale worked at the Hyde Park Central School System as an aide and later retired from The Heart Center, Poughkeepsie, where she was a receptionist.  Surviving are her husband of 49 years, George F. Busolt, Poughkeepsie, NY, daughter, Jody Thomsen, son, Jason Busolt, two sisters, Diane Sterling and Sally Houghtaling, three grandchildren, Bentley Thomsen; Jackson and Eliana Busolt.  Friends and relatives may call on Thursday, October 21, 2021, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Sweet's Funeral Home, Rte. 9, Hyde Park.  A service will begin at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 22, 2021, at the Mausoleum Chapel at St. Peter's Cemetery, 171 Salt Point Road, Poughkeepsie.  Entombment will follow in the family crypt.  Gale's family respectfully requests memorial donations to Ryan McElroy Children's Cancer Foundation, 450 Gardner Hollow Road, Poughquag, NY 12570 or online at www.ryansfoundation.org .
