Frederick Roy Pullman, 96, of Fishkill, died on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Taconic at Hopewell Nursing Care Center.in Fishkill.

Born February 28, 1927, in Buffalo, he was the son of the late Charles Pullman and Louisa Gaiser Pullman.

After graduating high school Fred went on to serve honorably serve in the United States Navy from 1944-1946.

Fred worked for the United State Postal Service, becoming a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers #137, in Poughkeepsie, before his retirement in 1989.

On June 22, 1946, in Buffalo, he married the former Norma Jean Kobes. Mrs. Pullman predeceased him on December 16th, 2016.

Frederick was a member of the B.P.O. Elks Lodge #275, L.O. Moose Lodge #970 Port Ewen, a Life member of the American Legion Arlington Post #1302, and a Life member of the Kingston VFW Post #1386.

He is survived by his daughter Priscilla Pettorossi, of Fishkill, 4 grandchildren, Angela Pettorossi, Gary Pettorossi, Brian Alberg, and Kelly VanDerhoff, 6 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Along with his parents he was also predeceased by his daughter Arlene Alberg.

Calling hours will be from 11am to 12 noon, on Monday August 7th, at Sweets Funeral Home, Rte. 9 Hyde Park, NY 12538.

A service will take place at 12:45pm at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, burial will follow.
