Florence Elizabeth Bilyou, 96, previously of Poughkeepsie, NY, died on Monday, May 17, 2021, at The Baptist Home at Brookmeade at Rhinebeck, NY.         Born on June 9, 1924, in Newburgh, NY, she was the daughter of the late Lester G. and Rose Blum Bilyou.        Prior to retirement, Florence worked at Vassar College, Poughkeepsie, NY as a sorority house mother and security.        She loved animals, especially horses and dogs. In her younger days she was a soprano singer in her church choir.       Florence is survived by her nieces, Norene Poorman and Michael Logan, both of Douglasville, GA; her niece Ginger Winters Bilyou of Indianapolis, IN. and nephews, Lester Bilyou II, Norwalk, CT; and Roy Bilyou, Marana, AZ.        In addition to her parents, Florence was predeceased by her brothers Lester Bilyou, Sr. and Raymond Bilyou along with two nieces, Norma Bilyou Schetrompf and Peggy Bilyou and a nephew Raymond Bilyou Jr.        Graveside services were private on Friday, May 21, 2021, at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.        Florence's family respectfully requests memorial donations to: The Alzheimer's Association.        Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet's Funeral Home, Inc., Rte. 9, Hyde Park.
