Obituary

Lynn passed peacefully away on August 30, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 19, 1945, in Scranton, PA, Lynn lived a life full of love and devotion to her family and friends.

Lynn was the beloved daughter of Evelyn O'Boyle Walsh and Joe Walsh, and she shared her early years with her loving sister, Mary Cannon. Her childhood in Scranton culminated in meeting and marrying her high school sweetheart, Jim, and they went on to enjoy a loving and fun-filled marriage of over 50 years.

Jim's career led the family from Scranton, Pennsylvania, to Bridgeport, Connecticut, then to the Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. regions before they ultimately settled in Poughkeepsie and Pleasant Valley, New York, where they spent the last 45 years. Lynn and Jim built a life filled with warmth and happiness, raising their three children: Pam, Jim (Audrey) and Christine (Andrew). They cherished Jim's early retirement and their ability to vacation together for over a decade across the country and the world, sharing many trips with their dear friends.

Lynn was a devoted mother and grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. She had an open heart and a warmth and quick wit that she shared freely with everyone around her. Nothing brought Lynn greater joy than spending time with her grandchildren, Leah, Colleen, Patrick, Lauren, Kiernan, and Shea, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Her deep Catholic faith, unwavering devotion to family and enduring friendships were woven into every aspect of her life, creating memories that her loved ones will carry with them for a lifetime. Throughout her life, Lynn generously shared her time and talents with her church, community, and countless friends. She especially loved family gatherings and vacations, holiday celebrations, and creating lasting memories with those she loved.

Lynn was predeceased by her loving parents, Evelyn and Joe, and her sister, Mary, and leaves her loving children and their spouses, and her six treasured grandchildren.
