Estrella "Daddy" Tuballa Day, 76, of Hyde Park, passed the morning of October 26, 2023 Thursday at Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie, New York with her family by her side.

Born December 15, 1946, in Dauin Negros Oriental Philippines. She was the daughter of the late Sancho Tuballa and the late Amada Alama.

Estrella will be remembered for her unselfishness and generousity by her family and a very hard worker by her colleagues. She worked at Wassaic Developmental School for over 30 years.

After retiring at Wassaic, she went on to continue working at Coppolas Restaurant, Vassar Brothers Hospital and various locations taking care of the housekeeping department.

Estrella loved sewing, spending time on her iPad and listening to her 80s music.

She is survived by her three children, Exequila Araula and husband Miguel, Edgardo Tuballa and wife Marvie, and Sancho Day and wife Courtney; by her three grandchildren, Micah, Briana, Edgabriel; and by her two great grandchildren, Lilly Beth, and James.

She is also survived by her older brother and younger sister in the Philippines, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews

Calling hours will be this November 3, 2023 Friday starting 4PM to 7PM at Sweet's Funeral Home, 4365 Albany Post Road, Hyde Park, NY, 12538.

A Christian Burial Mass will follow the following day 10am, November 4, 2023 Saturday at Regina Coeli Church, 2 Harvey Street, Hyde Park, NY, 12538 officiated by Fr. Michael Morris.

Cremation will follow and inurnment of her remains will take place at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet's Funeral Home, Inc., Rte. 9, Hyde Park.
