Eleanor Relyea, 96, a lifelong resident of Poughkeepsie, New York died at home on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.

Born, December 17, 1928 in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Hedwig Osika.

In 1956 at St. Peters Church in Poughkeepsie, she married William Lewis Relyea. He predeceased her on December 13th, 2017.

Eleanor enjoyed reading, word games and puzzles, classic movies and game shows, and especially keeping track of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Eleanor is survived by her four sons, Robert and wife Donna of Brewster; William and wife Karen of Staatsburg; Matthew, of Dunn, NC; Richard and wife Monica of Hyde Park.

She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Along with her husband she was also predeceased by her son James Relyea, brothers Casimir Osika, Leo Osika, William Osika; sisters Stella Kipp and Emily Ricco.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 PM, on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Sweet's Funeral Home, 4365 Albany Post Rd., Hyde Park, NY.

A Funeral Service will be at 10 AM on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Sweet's Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at the family plot at Union Cemetery of Hyde Park.
