Eleanor M.
Juchem
Jul 9, 1939 — Sep 14, 2026
Eleanor M. Juchem, after 90 years of life, passed away peacefully on September 14th, 2026 with her family by her side.
Born on July 9, 1936, in Millerton, New York, she was the daughter of the late Harold Darling and Ida O. Doll Darling.
known to most as "Snook or Snooker."
Eleanor worked for many years as a bus driver. She worked for Roger Beckwith, Mtn. View Coach Line, Florida coach lines, and Arlington Central School District, where she retired. A time in her life she cherished, since whenever she saw a school bus, she'd say with a smile on her face "There's my bus". She even joked on a few occasions at the age of 78, she was thinking of going back to driving school bus. Also, she had many parttime 2nd jobs over the years.
In her younger years, Eleanor enjoyed many things such as square dancing and being outside or at a restaurant and taking her children and grandchildren to many amusement and theme parks over the years. As well as trips for her, Beverly and 3 grandchildren to visit Alicia, in Colorado. She enjoyed the companionship of many pets over the years but had a special place in her heart for birds, of which she had many.
Eleanor was a very generous and kind person and will be greatly missed.
Eleanor is survived by her three children, Alicia Wilson, Christopher Juchem, and Beverly Juchem; she is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Along with her parents she was predeceased by her son, James Juchem.
Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet's Funeral Home, Hyde Park.
