Dina Diwa Dela Cruz, 62, of Poughkeepsie, died on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Vassar Bros. Hospital in Poughkeepsie, with her beloved family by her side.

Born August 4,1961 in Manila, Philippines, she was the daughter of the late Ludovico Diwa and Natividad Diwa.

On, September 27, 1987, in Lubao, Philippines, she married Romeo Dela Cruz.

For the past 15 years, Dina worked for Sodexo at Marist College.

Dina was a parishioner of St. Peters Church in Poughkeepsie.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids throughout the years. During the summer when she wasn't working at the college, she loved traveling with her husband on the road.

Along with her husband Romeo Dela Cruz, she is survived by her three children, Mary Anne Skillins and husband Kyle, Sarah Kay Dela Cruz-Baum and husband Matt, and Christian Kevin Dela Cruz; grandchildren Cora Skillins and Max Skillins, and her four-legged grandchild, Charlie Baum whom she adored.

She is also survived by her sister Lien Lano and brother Davis Diwa.

Calling hours will be from 1PM to 4pm on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Sweet's Funeral Home, 4365 Albany Post Rd., Hyde Park, NY 12538.
