Obituary

DAWN THERESA VANBRINK

Dawn, a lifelong resident of the area, left us on March 12, 2025 after a

courageous battle with cancer.

Dawn was born on January 28, 1959, in Poughkeepsie, NY and grew up in

Highland, NY. She graduated from Highland High School in June of 1977. She lived

out the past several decades of her life in the small hamlet of Wappingers known

as Chelsea, NY.

Dawn was a manufacturing technician for many years and worked at

on semiconductors in East Fishkill, NY until her passing.

In addition to her parents Catherine & John Winnie, she is survived by her beloved life partner, Keith

Thomas, their daughter Sara Thomas, and her sons; Justin Van Brink & Ryan

Thomas. She is also survived by her brothers; Bernard Kopf & Floyd Winnie. Dawn's

spirit touched the lives of many including her lifelong best friend, Donna

Pampinella.

Dawn lived life to the fullest, both in the fast lane and slow lane. She

enjoyed vacationing in Dennis Port on Cape Cod each summer and spending time on the

beach. On a peaceful afternoon, Dawn could be found watching the hummingbirds

on her front porch with a daiquiri in hand. Dawn's love of music and listening to the

radio won her many concert tickets over the years. She was always ready for a

good time, with jokes to make anyone laugh. Dawn had a love for car shows and

muscle cars, as well as her beloved Green Bay Packers. And she never failed to get

lotto tickets for friends and family while playing her daily numbers.

The burial will be at the Tivoli Red Church Cemetery at the convenience of

the family.

A Celebration of Life will take place on May 17, 2025 from 12:00pm to
