Dale C. Anderson, 73, a longtime local resident of Hyde Park, previously of Plattsburgh, NY, died on, June 29, 2025, at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie.

Born July 10, 1951, in Plattsburgh, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Doris May Bromley Anderson.

Dale was a Union Carpenter before beginning his own business, Charles Custom Carpentry. He owned and operated the business for many years.

A car buff, Dale loved working on classic cars, hot rods, and attending car shows. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He and his wife, Ethel, once shared a cross-country journey together on his motorcycle, ending in Las Vegas for her granddaughter's wedding. Those memories lasted a lifetime as they still laugh remembering the sunburn they endured around their protective eye goggles.

In 1988, he married the former Ethel M. Van Buskirk in Hyde Park. Mrs. Anderson survives at home.

In addition to his wife, Dale is survived by his daughters; Prudence Anderson (Marita) of Plattsburgh, and Sarah Anderson (Bill) of Chazy, NY; grandsons, Logan Charles and Nicky; siblings; Julie, Debbie, and Jim; and several nieces and nephews.

Dale is also survived by his wife Ethel's family: stepchildren, Tina McDonald of Red Hook, Cindy Niet of Staatsburg, and Sherman Kwant (Tracy) of Hyde Park; step-grandchildren; John Patrick McDonald (Ann), Colleen Hodges (Warren), Crystal and Shawn Niet, Jessica Domenech (Anthony), and Andrew Kwant; and his step-great-grandchildren; Kendrick, Lidia, and Carson.

In addition to his parents, Dale was predeceased by his stepson, Raymond Kwant.

In keeping with Dale's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet's Funeral Home, Hyde Park.
