Christina Joan Vegeto,87, of Pleasant Valley, died on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at home with her family by her side.

Born, October 12, 1934, in Beacon, she was the daughter of the late Stephen Hallock and Marjorie Curlew Hallock.

Christina worked as a clerk for IBM as for over 36 years before her retirement. In her retirement she enjoyed helping at the Journey Inn for many years.

She also loved to spend time with her family, often throwing parties, where she would cook and bake for everyone in attendance.

On October 18, 1962, she married Anthony Vegeto, Mr. Vegeto predeceased her in 1998.

Christina is survived by her children, Christopher Vegeto, and longtime companion Kathleen Tully; Tanya Damante; her daughter in law Patricia Ann Vegeto, and son in law Chaz Damante; eight grandchildren, Cory Vegeto, Cassandra Vegeto and Kevin, Ashley Johnson and husband Erik, Nickolas Damante and wife Dominique, Jessica Damante, Toni DiBlasi; three great grandchildren, Lucas Johnson, Mason Johnson, and Colton O'Dell, she is also survived by her beloved grand dog Meeko.

She is also survived by a sister Freida Bernardo.

Along with her parents she was predeceased by three siblings, June Mis, George Hallock, and Marjorie Schlegel.

A funeral service will take place at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, at 10AM on Wednesday October 12th. 342 South Ave. Poughkeepsie, NY 12601

Entombment will follow.
