Charlotte Theresa Grube,77, a lifelong area resident of Poughkeepsie, died on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Vassar Bros. Hospital in Poughkeepsie. Born, December 14, 1944 in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Marietta Wells LaPenna . After graduating Poughkeepsie High school, she went on to work for many companies, retiring from ASD in Poughkeepsie, where she worked on Computer Assembly for many years. On March 8th, 1969, she married Vincent Grube. Mr. Grube predeceased her on August 31st, 2011. Charlotte loved to help others, and could often times be found donating to local toy drive around the holidays, she also was a avdid crafter and ceramic maker. She is survived by cousin, Madeline M Spencer, God Son John J Spencer; three nephews Joseph LaPenna, James LaPenna and Jason Lapenna; cousins Terri Schamberg and Keith Doughty; and many cousins and friends. Along with her parents she was also predeceased by her brother Joseph LaPenna and wife Patricia. Calling hours will be from 11am to 1pm on Tuesday April 5th at Sweet's Funeral Home, Rte. 9, Hyde Park, NY 12538. A service will take place at 1pm at the funeral home.
