Hyde Park, NY Carol Clark, 75, of Hyde Park, died on Friday, February 4, 2022, at home in the care and company of her family. Born on June 25, 1946, in Astoria, Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late Adolph and Gloria Riefenhauser Meyer. She married Lynn Bryant Clark on April 22, 1972, in Carmel, NY. Mr. Clark died on October 2, 1995. In the spring of 2000, she met John Scribner, who became her life partner. Mr. Scribner died February 15, 2020. Prior to getting married, she worked for the NYS Port Authority. During her married years, she was a homemaker. When kids were older, she took a part time job working for Goodwill Industries until she retired in 2017. She enjoyed gardening and listening to music, visiting Woodstock and Quincy Market in Boston, and Jones Beach. Her grandkids were her pride and joy. Carol is survived by her daughter, Allison Schanck, Hyde Park, with whom she was residing at the time of her passing; son, Andrew Clark and daughter-in-law, Kristen Piga, Perkasie, PA; stepdaughters, Ariann Scribner Beliveau and her husband Charlie Beliveau of CT and Siobhan Scribner of Poughkeepsie, and stepson Mark Scribner of Poughkeepsie; grandchildren, Brianna Schanck, Robert Schanck, Emma Rizzo of Hyde Park; Audrey Clark of Perkasie, PA. Relatives and friends may call from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Sweet's Funeral home, Inc., Rte. 9, Hyde Park. Cremation took place at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
