Beverly J. Schwartz, 86, of Hyde Park, died on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at The Eleanor Nursing Care Center at Hyde Park, NY.

Born on Friday, August 14, 1936, in Marcy, NY, she was the daughter of Dr. Donald Kendig and Gertrude Godfrey Schwartz. Beverly graduated from Franklin D. Roosevelt High School, Hyde Park in 1955 and then attended Albany Business School.

Prior to retirement in 1991, Beverly worked as a secretary in the Food Service Department at the former Hudson River Psychiatric Center, Poughkeepsie, NY.

She was a communicant of St. James Episcopal Church, Hyde Park, a member of CSEA, NY, local 1000 and a member of the Red Hat Society. Beverly had many friends and extended family.

Beverly is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth G. and Joan M. Schwartz, Hyde Park, niece and her husband, Sheri Lynn and Marty W. Browning, Hyde Park, and two nephews, Rob H. Schwartz, and John K. Schwartz, White Plains, NY.

In addition to her parents, Beverly was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Robert K. and Judith Schwartz.

Cremation took place at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will be announced at-a-later date to take place at St. James Episcopal Church, followed by burial in the family plot at the historic St. James Church Yard Cemetery.
