Barbara Marean Youmans,70, of Hyde Park, NY, died on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at home, in the care and company of her devoted daughters.

Born on November 22, 1952, in Binghamton, NY, she was the daughter of the late Raymond C. Youmans and the late Janet M. Lewis Youmans.

She retired from the United States Postal Service, Newburgh, NY after over 35 years as a Postal Clerk.

Barbara was a lifelong New York Yankee fan who enjoyed trips to the stadium with her daughters. She looked forward to yearly family vacations to Wildwood, NJ and relaxing at the beach. Barbara was an animal lover who enjoyed regular walks with her golden retriever, Emma.

Barbara is survived by two daughters, Kristen Youmans & her partner Armeen, Hyde Park, NY; and Kelly Youmans & her partner Anthony, Hyde Park, NY; her brother, Raymond C. Youmans, III, and her beloved granddaughter, Harper.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her brother, William Youmans and a niece, Stacy Youmans.

Barbara's family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and doctors at the Dyson Center for their care and support of her the last couple years during her treatments and through this journey. We would also like to thank the nurses, aides, and therapists with Hudson Valley Hospice who helped ensure she was able to be home with family during her final days.

Relatives and friends may call from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, on Sunday, August 13, 2023. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM, at Sweet's Funeral Home, Inc, 4365 Albany Post Road, Hyde Park, NY. Cremation already took place at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
