Arnetta Jane Colden (affectionately known as 'Peachy'), 69, a lifelong area resident, died on December 27, 2022, at the Lutheran Care Center in Poughkeepsie.

Born February 1, 1953, in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of Lee Andrew Colden Sr. and Grace E. Hall Colden. Both of her parents predeceased her.

Ms. Colden was a Special Education Teacher for Dutchess County BOCES for 30 years before her retirement.

Survivors include her nephew, Marc Andrew Colden, and wife, Graciela, of Horizon City, TX; niece, Fredericka Joy Dunning, and husband, Perry, of Chesapeake, VA; great-nephew, Perry Marcus Dunning; great-niece, Xzavia Dunning; and a host of cousins on both her father's and mother's sides of the family.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Lee Andrew Colden Jr. and Frederick James Colden.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial calling hours will be from 9 to 11 AM, Saturday January 14th, at Sweet's Funeral Home, Route 9, Hyde Park.

A memorial service will follow at 11 AM at the funeral home.

Burial of her ashes will take place at the convenience of the family.
