Anna M. 'Mimi' Peters, 79, of a lifelong area resident died on Friday, July 14, 2023, at home with her family by her side.

Born, August 20, 1943, in Bristol, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late William and Marion Burns Riedinger.

Mimi attended F. D. Roosevelt High School and went on to own and operate her own business as a custom cake decorator.

A golfer, she was a member of the Dinsmore Wednesday Night Ladies Golf League.

On, May 2, 1964, in St. Peter's Church, Poughkeepsie, she married Joseph M. Peters. Mr. Peters survives at home.

In addition to her husband, Mimi is survived by her two sons, Joseph M. Peters Jr. and wife, Heidi, of Hyde Park, and Jefferey M. Peters and wife, Tami, of Staatsburg; and grandchildren, Danielle Peters Cole and husband, Brandon, and Tyler, Jeffrey, and Sarah Peters.

She is also survived by her sisters, Debbie Schneider and husband, Tom, of Hyde Park and Donna Thomas of Ballston Lake; sister-in-law, Janet Riedinger, of Hyde Park; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Nancy Baillie and Sue Palmer; and a brother, Bill Riedinger.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.

Memorial calling hours will be from 4 to 7 PM, on Wednesday, July 19th, at Sweet's Funeral Home, Rte. 9, Hyde Park.

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Thursday, July 20th at the Funeral Home. Fr. Daniel D'Alliessi will officiate.

Burial of her ashes will follow in Union Cemetery of Hyde Park.
