Andre Said, age 55 from Poughkeepsie NY, passed away on October 27th, 2021 with his family by his side. Andre is survived by his significant other Peggy Hlavaty, his children A.J. Said, daughter in-law Anna, Chas Said, Casey Said, Lee Myers, his sisters Anna Dailey, Lisa Barrett, Paula Cypher, Elizabeth Gullet, Doreen Starkey, Jodi Brown, Dawn Brown, his grandchildren Henry said and Arthur Said, close cousins and numerous nieces and nephews. Life long friends of Ed Harten and Corby Rose. Andre is preceded in death by his parents Marie and Joseph Said, and stepfather Lloyd Brown, his siblings Mike Said, Lloyd Brown, Debbie Brown. Andre was a hard worker all his life. He worked for local 17 and proceeded to work on his own as a jack of all trades. Andre would always put others and help them with anything. He was an artistic and creative person with a boisterous personality. In his free time he would work on various projects, ride his motorcycles and his favorite pastime was singing karaoke. Andre touched the hearts of many people and will always be remembered and never forgotten. Calling Hours will be Saturday October 30th from 9 to 11am at Sweet's Funeral Home, Rte. 9 Hyde Park, NY 12538.A service will take place at 11am at the funeral home.Burial will follow in the family plot in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
