Staatsburg - Alicia Joy Markowski Kazolias, 27, died unexpectedly Sunday, October 26, 2008 in Staatsburg. A homemaker and mother, she was a two year resident of Rhinebeck and previously of Staatsburg. Born in Rhinebeck on April 15, 1981, she was the daughter of Edward J. Markowski Jr. and Alexine Rowe Markowski of Staastburg. Alicia Joy was a graduate of F.D. Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park. On May 25, 2006 in Millbrook, she married Philotemo Kazolias. Her husband survives at home. In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by two sons, Alexander Edward and Andrew Philotemo Kazolias, both at home; two brothers, Matthew and Adam Markowski, both of Gaithersburg, MD; paternal grandmother, Ruth Markowski of Essex Junction, VT; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. There are no calling hours. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial donations may be made to the Dutchess County SPCA, 636 Violet Ave., Hyde Park, NY 12538.
