Aleta M. Dalrymple, 86, of Hyde Park, New York died on Friday, October 20, 2023, at The Eleanor Nursing Care Center in Hyde Park.

Born, July 26, 1937 in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of the late Richard Curran and Hattie Curran Silvernail.

Aleta loved to cook and took pride in cooking for her family and those at Astor in Red Hook.

Before working at Astor, Aleta was a homemaker and relished being around supporting her children and helping her family.

She enjoyed roads trips with her family, especially during the fall. Known for her love of the Rolling Stones, and sparkling personality, people often told her children they wish they had known her longer.

In 1956 in Poughkeepsie Aleta married Reginald Dalrymple Jr., Mr. Dalrymple predeceased her in 2001.

She is survived by her three children Karen Dalbo, Reggie Dalrymple and girlfriend Diane, and Debbie Mallozzi and husband Domenico. She is also survived by her 3 siblings Lucille, Richard, and James. Several grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Along with her husband she was predeceased by her children, Danny, Jeffrey, and Robert, several brothers and sisters, and her son-in-law Mark Dalbo.

Calling hours will be from 4 PM to 7 PM, on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Sweet's Funeral Home, 4365 Albany Post Rd., Hyde Park, NY.

A Graveside Service will be at 10 AM on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Union Cemetery, 1076 Violet Avenue, Hyde Park, NY.

Aleta's family respectfully requests memorial donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
